A limited press 45's by DJ Dez, the alias of Andres, known for his releases from KDJ and Mahogani Music, and recently launching his own label and showing brisk activity!
Side A "New World" is a fast-paced track that chops and loops the guitar & vocal parts from the masterpiece musical/soundtrack by Galt MacDermot, combined with the rough-sounding drums typical of the MPC200XL. Side B "Brain" is a double-sider that skillfully chops and flips Sly's famous song "Can't Strain My Brain," which was also used by A Tribe Called Quest, and intertwines the guitar part like a highly adhesive synth with tight, hard drums! Straightforward instrumental Hip Hop, even among recent DJ Dez works!
Mastering was handled by Kelly Hibbert of Elysian Masters. It's finished with a fat sound while still retaining the roughness!
